Match Report NMJFC U7- 03/12/22

The sun was out at Brinnington for our 11 o’clock kick off against Inter Cheadle.

New Mills were against it from the off with a very eager opposition, both teams wanting to put there stamp on the game.

It wasn’t long before Inter Cheadle were pushing and we relied upon some excellent defending from Charlie, and saves from Teddy.

We soon got into the flow due to some excellent passing from James in midfield and some great runs from Paige.

It wasn’t long before our top goal scorer Stanley got a goal.

A few changes due to some injuries, brought in Ethan who was our second half goalie, and Tobias replaced Charlie in defence.

Teddy moved up to midfield making some great runs down the right hand side. But it seemed more was to be had on the left where Paige drilled in her first goal, from long range.

Well done Paige on your first goal!

More end to end action meant maximum effort was given by everyone, especially Tobias and James who had dropped into defence to assist.

It was great to see Ethan, taking his first time in goal and making some great saves.

Whilst the effort levels were huge from everyone, our star player this week went to Paige who had a great game and got her first goal. 👏🏻👏🏻
