Match report NMJFC Under 10s - 25 April 2021

Chapel Town Vs NMJFC

Boom ...... Derby day at Chapel between 2 very good competitive footballing teams, and wow what a game we were treated too.

NMJFC wanted to build on a good result from the previous week.

Straight away the lads were taking it serious with captain George and vice captain Dillan getting the boys in for a team huddle.

The game got underway and it started off with both teams working the goalkeepers.

NMJFC keeper Dillan didn't disappoint, commanding his defence of Joel & George also pulling off some great saves.

The whole team were working extremely hard on a large pitch.

Then the fun began ....... a goal from Olly M seemed to spark the game into life.

Some fair and tough tackles from both teams were being made and Chapel took the game to New Mills scoring on the break with a well taken strike. New Mills were awarded a penalty after a late tackle but the Chapel GK pulled off a great save.

Chapel were then awarded a penalty for the same reason, and they took their chance taking the lead.

NMJFC never gave up and won another penalty after a handball in the box, unfortunately the Chapel GK yet again pulled off a great save keeping his team in the lead. ........ with time slipping through their hands, NMJFC were awarded a free kick were the ball was drilled into the box and Ross leapt the highest to head the ball into the goal. Nothing more than the lads deserved.

Another great game and played in the right way by two good teams.

The David Wood domestic appliances man of the match went to Ross for his equalising header. ⚽⚽
