Match report NMJFC Under 13s - 05/03/23

New Mills u13s v Poynton Whites u13s

The Millers were at home again this week and welcomed Poynton to the Rec.

The boys carried on from last week with attitudes and working as a team and were 1-0 up within a matter of minutes, only to be pegged back level with img the blink of an eye.

The Millers didn’t let it affect them and were soon back in front with another quick fire goal.

The Millers were playing some tidy football and showing off some slick passing to the home fans and again hit the back of the Poynton net to give Alfie a first half hat trick. Archie then had his say with a fine finish to put the Millers up 4-1 just before half time.

The 2nd half kicked off and the Millers were still playing like they had something to prove, chasing every ball and not wanting to let Poynton have a sniff at the Millers goal.

A brilliant solo run from Joseph Tyrell with a fine chip over the keeper gave the Millers their rewards and Archie shortly after got his 2nd with another fine finish. Final score 6-2

Was another brilliant performance today from everybody involved and we hope to carry on again next week with  this good momentum we have.

Again the mom could have been anybody so we have it to everybody again.
