New Mills U13s V Adswood United

New Mills U13s put in another good performance and came away with the second consecutive victory against the same team.

Some fabulous football by the midfielders, great movement up top, a solid and composed back line and a great assured performance from our keeper kept the opposition at bay bar one error where the team conceded a worldie of a goal from the opponents.

Playing their last game of the season and with a fantastic run of results since the New Year, the team climbed up the league table and I'm extremely proud to say have finished in a very respectable position of 'Runners-up of Division One' to complete their time as under 13s.

Its been an absolute pleasure spending time with this awesome team.

A mixed bunch of characters that gel together on the pitch and produce dispays that leave me in awe some weeks. Such a great set of lads that don't realise how truly special they are together.

My hope is that they will continue their footballing journey as a group, continue to develop, continue to inspire, continue to make us all proud and more importantly continue to enjoy this experience together as time soon flies by...it doesn't seem two minutes some of them started out at only 6 years old!
