Although the home leg for NMJ, the match was hosted by Mountfield Rovers at Bramhall High School.

NMJ's players all arrived with a positive attitude and went straight into an enthusiastic warm-up, setting the scene for the following 90-minutes.

A Mountfield kick-off prompted an immediate attack from NMJ, sending a clear message to the hosts that 3-points would be travelling back to New Mills.

NMJ kept piling on the pressure but it wasn't until winning a corner in the 38th-minute, taken by Harry Wyatt, saw Ben Harrison head the ball home from the back corner of the 6-yard box.

Going into the second half 1-0 up, NMJ were keen to widen the scoreline to secure the three points. The effort from both side continued up until the 90th minute when Kit was fouled in Mountfields are, awarding NMJ a penalty.

Without hesitation, Jack Jarvis convincingly slotted the ball into the bottom right corner sealing the win and the 3-points.

Harvey Smith once again delivered an unrivalled display of effort and commitment earning himself the Man-of-the-Match.
