NMJFC U8 Hawks v Glossop North End Reds

A brighter start this Sunday with an early 9:30 kick off for the Hawks at Glossopdale.

Glossop started on the front foot today with lots of forward passing and dangerous attempts from close range. Excellent pressure and defensive work was required from all of the Hawks but we couldn’t keep Glossop out as they took the lead after 5 minutes.

Applying the same pressure and forcing mistakes, the Hawks got back into the game with a great run and superb finish from Leo - this definitely switched the momentum and gave us a lift on which to build from.

Work rate and efforts were through the roof and The Millers found their stride with more goals from Leo and a great finish from Brooke.

Big shout out to Joe who was everywhere on that pitch never giving the opposition a single moment of breathing space, same with Ella - ran her socks off for her team!

Great goalkeeping from Harley and Kian today too, confident and solid. As always, a calm and consistent performance from Liam at the back who found Brooke up front on a number of occasions who linked up really well with Leo in the game today.
