Match report New Mills u11s v Chinley Greens u 11s - 10/11/23

The team started off with a good warm up and completed several length of the swimming pool!!!

Some of the wettest weather we have had so far this season, but this didn’t put the team off and they started the game strong, organised and working for each other.

Over the first half the team started to work on 1-2 passing and using the wings. Chinley were occasionally catching us on the break but we were in safe hands with Theo in net.

Second half saw some very soaked players go back out to play, but there was no change in our performance or tempo with the players starting to put into play the press as asked by the coaches 👌🏻

Chinley really started to feel this pressure and there was some great disruption to Chinley’s play.

Every player put 110% in which was really pleasing for me and James to see, energy from Rory, saves by Theo and a performance by Reuben earning him the player of the match contributed to the team coming off the pitch with smiles but very wet, cold players.

Well done New Mills U11’s on the fantastic game.
