Match Report NMJFC U U11 Scorpions Vs Hayfield - 07/12/25

As the winter weeks are kicking the team is looking very different, a real hybrid of two very good teams. 

A big Sunday morning as the lads face off with the biggest opposition they have ever come up against….their own mentality. 

We asked for fire, passion and full on commitment and that’s what we got. 

Callum up against a winger he knows can out run him. But we saw those high knees today and were very proud of the effort put in to chase that ball down. 

Will pushing himself in a more attacking position. Getting some nice crosses into his team mates 👍🏻 great work today. 

Finley the lion heart, looks like a pussy cat but is ferocious on the pitch. Attacking the ball from his defensive position. Always putting his body on the line and a couple of nice efforts at the oppositions goal. 

Frankie C made some incredible saves this morning. Diving across the width of his net to get his fingertips on the ball more than once. He’s becoming more vocal every week driving the team from the back 👊🏻

Oliver B has become a solid member of the team when he’s played for us. He’s really shining brightly. Not only a strong defensive player but able to make some attacking decisions that make a difference to the game. He really put in a shift today. 

Frankie H makes a real difference to this team. The back can rely on him being ahead of them and the attackers feel fully supported with him behind. He also has this lovely lobbing shot that almost made its appearance again today. 

Dylans footwork has been magical to watch. We sometimes feel bad for the opposition when he pulls off a beautiful move. His first touch has developed so well it still sometimes catches us by surprise even though we know how skillful he can be. 

Leo reminded everyone how fast he really is. The only man that could get between him and the net was a fantastic goalkeeper. He ran past, round and through everyone else. Plenty of excellent crosses today, just a bit to work on crossing 2 seconds earlier. 

Rocco T is the force at the front. He doesn’t care how big you are. You aren’t as strong as him. He pushed through so many times but couldn’t release the trigger. Keep up the work lad. 

PoTM goes to Albie today. Running box to box. Giving everything he had for every minute of the game. Attacking, defending and playmaking. Lots of looking up and seeing where the ball needed to go which we were very impressed with. Great work 👏🏻

The team looked incredible today. They played and looked like a team you wouldn’t want to go up against. We will have to face our own mentality many more times in our adventures together and we will succeed 👊🏻
