Match Report NMJFC U11 Scorpions v Futtymania - 14/12/25

Threat of rain… which came down for most of the game.

Another game against Futtymania … the scorpions started brightly. The words from coach Jordan (who wasn’t there today)  were enjoy yourselves, play with a smile .

We started brightly… pushing the opposition back…., a great through ball from Frankie H saw Rocco T steam though and score a peach of a left foot goal ⚽️ (left foot Roc 👊🏻) Frankie C had to be on his toes more than once and made some great saves.

We were making some good passes and finding a yellow shirt.

The game was end to end and Frankie C made a great save. This was defend / attack / defend / attack .. it’s always a great close game against our opponents.

Dylan and Leo were always a threat .. Leo’s lightning runs on one side and Dylan’s trickery on the other side. Their changes are brilliant - these are our dynamic duo.

The Scorpions had a good break on the left, the ball drifted across from the left and Finley put his laces through it for a great goal ⚽️

The Scorpions were battling for everything. Will was on fire today 👊🏻 Frankie C was shouting at the defence.

Everyone was encouraging their team mates, Leo had a shot just wide …. Then Callum had a pop that the keeper had to push wide.

Rocco was constantly showing his strength today.

David was playing his first game back after a few weeks out with a broken finger… he started at left back and then moved to a more centre midfield role.

He was there or thereabouts every time.  Finley… Finley was a solid wall .. he also went on a Maradonna esque run …. This kid loves playing football… we love him 👍🏻

Leo, stood up and showed his captaincy by rallying the team, and keeping every one focused.

Player of the week: David

He came back after 5 weeks out, showed the passion and was amazing.

⚽️🖤💛⚽️
