Match Report NMJFC U11 vs Futtymania U11 - 12/10/25

So today was the first time we’ve faced a new opponent in our new Sunday league in Futtymania.

Wanted to say their coaches and players were all brilliant. Good banter before we kicked off and throughout the game their coaches were applauding our play 👍🏻

Today, we drafted in Frankie H again who is now a Scornet or a Horpion (same as Leo and Cal🤷🏻‍♂️)

It’s was rather misty at Priestnall this morning but we started …… slowly…… the scorpions needed a kick up the backside to get going …. After about 10 minutes they seemed to wake up… Dylan picked up on the left … chipped across for Leo to bury it ⚽️

For the first time this season, the Scorpions were having to defend and defend and defend.  Will, Rocco, David and Callum were constantly chasing the Futtymania strikers.

Frankie was on hand to be the last man standing on more than one occasion…. Rushing off his line 👏🏻

The Scorpions had another few close shots from Leo and Rocco T.

A foul on Frankie H, just outside the box saw Dylan step up and place a delightful free kick into the top corner ⚽️

This gave the scorpions some momentum… great work on the left, pass through to the middle, Rocco T picks up the ball…… spins… and hits an absolute beauty into the bottom corner ⚽️

Half time and it was a case of more of the same, don’t be bullied. (Rocco T up against their centre half … Rocco never gave an inch … and Alfie was brilliant, running tirelessly, some great passes and winning free kicks.. genius player)

Second half… the Scorpions started slowly again. Constantly being pushed back.

Leo had a shot just wide, Alfie was getting in the mix looking for the forward pass. Rocco T had another shot saved. Another foul outside the box, again Dylan stepped up and hit a beauty on target … only for the Futty keeper to push it over for a corner.

A brilliant game against a new opponent who we will be meeting again.

Our PoTM was Rocco T today, he didn’t stop running or tackling … he was up against a centre half at least a foot taller than him and he didn’t get bullied and really got stuck in 👊🏻 (his amazing goal came from a great move, sheer instinct 👍🏻)
