A great start to this game helped the parents to forget how cold it was on the sidelines. 

Oli C and defenders Bobby and Leyton faced a very strong sun in the first half but that aside,   Oli C produced a masterclass display in goals.

Bobby and Leyton linked up well with Oli C and produced some very attractive defending and playing out from the back. 

Midfielders Harry P, Tyler, Harry F, Leyton and Remo worked tirelessly in the centre providing help for the defenders while also providing through balls and lovely passes for wingers Sam and Jimmy to push forward and provide opportunities for striker Oli F to have a crack at goals. 

New Mills scored two goals in the second half, the first provided by a super long ball from goal keeper Oli C set up a chance for Jimmy to smash the ball to the back of the net. The second was a penalty, which was calmly put away by Harry F. 

The ‘brain mat’ sponsored man of the match goes to Bobby for his amazing work rate and tackling today. Bobby is always willing to switch position and battle for his team. Well done Bobby.
