The Millers took to the field in their resplendent away pink strip and expected a tough game as these fixtures always are.
The shape and system was adhered to superbly by all 12 players and several early chances were created which were not converted.
Lincoln, Bobby and Cole marshalled the Offerton attacks with authority and composure and left their opponents with very little opportunity to score in first half.
The midfield battle was being won by Jess and Mayson with neither losing a duel and both setting off attacks regularly.
Bertie and Darragh terrorised the Offerton back line and Freddie linked up the play well working hard for the team. Bertie opened the scoring with a smart on finish for a deserved lead which was held to the half.
Darragh scored two superbly controlled goals in the second half to give the Millers a strong lead.
The Millers controlled most of the game from this point and Greg and Ryan came on to add energy to the midfield and attack .
Chances were created but the Offerton keeper pulled off several good saves to keep the Millers out.
This game was a clear indication of the quality this group of players has and the team spirit and togetherness shown was a delight to watch for parents and coaches alike.
Player of the match was Cole who was formidable in a defensive display from the whole team which was near faultless.
Coaches Rick, Rob and Liam are delighted with the progress of the team and very proud of the efforts of the whole group.
Keep working Mini Millers 👊
