Match Report NMJFC U12s v Reddish Villa - 14/10/23
The Mini Millers started the game brightly creating several good chances to score but were thwarted by great goalkeeping and superb defending from the Reddish back line.
The Millers were strong at the back with Cole Daniel and India defending superbly against a lively Reddish attack.
Archie was distributing the ball well and delivered several strong counterattacks for the team.
Bobby and Mayson battled hard to compete in midfield with Cookie, Bertie and Harry T all having a threat when the Millers attacked the Reddish back line.
The Millers conceded just before the break to a goal of quality from Reddish.
The second half the millers upped the tempo in search of an equaliser but conceded a second as Reddish took control of the game.
The Millers continued to battle hard and were rewarded with Bertie scoring a superb header for 2 -1 , game on.
Several good chances were created to get the equaliser but the Reddish keeper made some great saves to deny the Millers.
Reddish then scored two more goals in the last five minutes as the Millers went all out attack looking for an equaliser.
Overall a great game where there was lots of things to work on and improve but as ever, the Millers kept going right to the final whistle.
Player of the match went to Mayson who had an excellent game in midfield and continues to grow into his role in the team.
