Match Report NMJFC U13 Girls vs Bollington Silks - 01/11/25

This was a really strong performance from the girls who impressed with their teamwork and passing. The Millers managed to find the net six times but in truth it could have been more.

Some great football was played today. Early on Brooke, Elsie, Esmee and Lily D were linking up well in attacking areas and looking a threat. After a few missed chances the first goal arrived, Brooke was on hand to score after the keeper made a good save.

Bollington remained dangerous and had a good player in attack. Midway through the half she ran onto a through ball and equalised with an impressive finish.

After that the defence limited Bollington to only a few half chances. Ella, Neve, Evie and Lucie all did well again today.

By half time New Mills were 4-1 up. Esmee was good on the wing and got herself a deserved goal. Lily D and Emily also scored in the first half, each racing clear and finishing well

The second half performance from the girls was arguably their best of the season. Whilst they scored less than in the first half, the football was a joy to watch

In midfield Isla won tackle after tackle with other notable performances also in that part of the pitch from Florence and Lily H.

The New Mills goal no 5 was scored by Emily who finished into the bottom right hand corner. Emily then turned creator to play a great through ball to Lily D who yet again found the net.

Bollington threatened to get a consolation late on but Millie pulled off some impressive saves

Full time; New Mills 6 -1 Bollington

Stand out performance today from everyone, in particular Elsie, Brooke, Esmee and Lucie.

Player of the Match went to Emily who finished the game with two goals and an assist.
