Match Report NMJFC U13s - 18/01/26 Stockport Metro League U13s New Mills ----------- 4 Adswoods ---------- 7

The lads started fast, keeping the pressure on their opponents whilst playing same fast attacking football. It was Adswood who took the lead with a gifted goal when New Mills failed to clear their lines at the back.

Adswoods lead didn't last too long as Max stayed calm to lob the keeper from the edge of the box after a fast break from the back line. New Mills could have added a second shortly after.

New Mills half time team talk was easy, just keep doing what you are doing, although they were 2-1 down they were playing fantastic football and should have been infront only for lack of confidence in front of goal.

New Mills started the second half slow and conceded two sloppy goals with the first 5 minutes to give Adswood a 4-1 lead. The lads regrouped and worked hard for the rest of the game and goals from Max, Jimmy and a beautiful strike  from well outside the box by Hazza rounded off the scoring for New Mills.

Several players could have got man of the match. Leo played fantastic on the wing; Bobby put in his usual battling performance; but today's man of the match was birthday boy Oli F. Oli was great, leading the line up front and also chasing back not letting the opposition play out from the back easy. Well done Oli F.
