Match Report NMJFC U14s - 12/09/26
First league game of the season for the girls was a local derby away at Hayfield. The game started as an even contest with Millie being good off her line to stop a couple of Hayfield attacks.
As the game settled down the Millers started to dominate and it wasn’t long before they took the lead; Daisy scoring from a close range before grabbing her second 5 minutes later. What a debut !
At the break we asked for the same again from the girls and they delivered. New Mills completely dominated the second half. The girls played some great football but a combination of bad luck, some good goalkeeping and dubious offside calls meant that the score stayed the same.
Against the run of play Hayfield gabbed a lifeline and all of a sudden the score was close. However Brooke ensured the final result was comfortable with two excellent finishes.

All the squad played well today. Stand out performances included Neve and Martha who were both excellent at centre half. Bella also did well but the player of the match trophy went to Daisy for two goals and an assist.
