Match Report NMJFC U14s V Reddish North End - 17/12/23
The Millers were back in action away at reddish this weekend having not played for a few weeks, it was good to get a game played and shake off any cobwebs before the Xmas break.
The lads were eager to get going and we started with a 3-5-2 formation as some players weren’t available so we tried something different and it worked.
First 5 minutes, the Millers were 1 up with a fine strike into the top corner from Alfie, Reddish went straight up the other end and were awarded a free kick. A great strike kick straight in the onion bag 1-1. Game on.
The Millers never really looked back after that and continued to pepper Reddish up until half time.
A couple more goals to put some of daylight between the teams.
1-3 halftime.
The 2nd half we had the wind behind us and continued to dominate the game with Reddish not really causing any problems for the Millers.
The back 3 were winning every tackle and were consistently calm on the ball. The 5 in midfield likewise were all winning the battles and everybody was encouraging and supporting each other. Strikers never stopped working either. Quiet day today for Jack in goal as the score finished 1-11.
Brilliant performance to finish the year off. Roll on 2024 as this team is only going to get better the way they are playing and bonding.
Well done to everybody today, playing football with smiles on faces. Brilliant for all parents to watch as they played some good football today. Well done lads 👍🏻
