Match Report NMJFC U15s - 22/10/23

Hazel Grove Jets U15 vs NMJFC U15

A perfect afternoon for a football match on the 4g @ Hazel Grove High School.

The Millers started the match brightly, controlling the the tempo and playing mostly in the opposition half. They created several chances which they were unable to take.

Defensively they were solid, playing with alot of composure. Despite their dominance, they were unable to get a breakthrough before the break.

Initially at the start of the 2nd half, the Millers were put under a little more pressure but they managed to stay strong at the back without conceding a chance.

The young Millers managed to get back in control of the game and were finally rewarded when some great work from Joe on the right was finished fantastically by Jack B.

Hazel Grove pushed more forward which gave more space which Liam managed to exploit with a rapid counter before teeing Tofty up for a tap in at the back post.

Liam then got a goal which his hard work all game deserved, finishing well from just inside the area.

A fantastic performance from the whole team, played in intimidating circumstances with some opposition (players and parents) trying to antagonise certain players, all of who conducted themselves well.

They thoroughly deserved the 3-0 win.

POTM went to Joe, he worked tirelessly from right back, constantly helping in the attacks whist staying solid defensively.
