So after having to make a sub every 17 seconds last week, we only had 5 players today, so all 5 played the entire game.
Louie started in goal, with Henry, Seb, Ollie and Joseph on the pitch.
The first half started with the opposition a player down, something their coach didn't seem to worried about, and it was quite clear why soon after starting.
The opposition this week were incredibly strong, through later conversations with the coach it turned out they trained twice a week, and played games both Saturdays and Sundays.
But thanks to Louis in goal who made multiple brilliant saves, and Henry, who given his Dads height, maywell have a future as Englands next John stones, with his ability to defend and then bring the ball forward, they weren't able to rack up too many goals in the first half, and Seb was having one of those games where everything he touched turned to goals, scoring three in total over the course of the game.
By half time we were still in the game, despite there missing player turning up after only a few minutes.
Henry won a "rock, paper, scissors" contest against Joseph to go in goal for the second half, so we started the second half with Henry in goal, Joseph at the back, then Ollie, Louis and Seb further forward.
The second half was similar to the first in many ways, our opposition playing like they'd been coached by Guardiola, but our boys held there own, with all of them showing impressive ability to try to nullify the oppositions go to play, and working out themselves that if they close down the winger too quickly they will leave the man in the middle free.
A goal from Joseph and a superbly taken penalty from Louis, scoring his first goal of the season, which lead to wild celebrations from him, were the final attacking contributions for the game, and ending an incredibly impressive performance against I'd suggest by far the best opposition we have played this year.
Well done lads, and well done Louis for your player of the week win, richly deserved!
