Match Report NMJFC U8s - 20/09/25

Welcome back to the story of how 7 under 8s are stepping into there football journeys and loving every second of it. 

This week we played Mountfield Rovers and what a game it turned out to be. We started with Nora as goal keeper with Elle and Isla in defence, Nancy, Skye and Nina took up their positions in the midfield and off we went. It was fast paced from the start with all the girls working hard to fight for position and put the play up the pitch. 

For the second week in a row Skye was running up and down the wing with the ball at her feet, Nina was getting blocks in and driving us forward, Nancy was getting herself stuck in and tackling in the middle of the park. Elle was great at the back running her socks off and getting some

Important tackles in. Isla was again winning the ball at the back and pushing the team up to get there first ever competitive goal. 🥳 🎉 ⚽️

Emily came on as a substitute this week and came into the game all guns blazing working hard in midfield. The second half saw Isla go into goal and the team kept pushing on to try and get a second, every girl on that pitch played amazingly again this week and near the end of the game Emily got the teams second to round off another fantastic game. Girl of the game award went to Nora and the girls got a standing ovation from the supporters as they exited the pitch.
