Match Report NMJFC U9s girls - vs Marple Athletic JFC U9 Blues Girls 30/09/23
Another beautiful sunny morning for the Girls’ third game (make the most of it!) and a great turnout by the girls and supporting families.
This was another great performance by all of the team, and they are putting what they are learn in training into practice on match days.
Today’s game against Marple was played in a great atmosphere and a huge thanks to both the coaches and players from the Blues team for their part in an excellent match.
As usual, the goalkeeping position was volunteered for as we make sure that they all get the chance to experience playing in goal; this week, Emily and Millie were our enthusiastic volunteers who played a half each. Both had a great game! This is also true for the rest of the girls throughout the whole game, and they all put in a great effort.
Seren put in some great tackles in midfield, as did Annabella in defence, Jessica and Paige didn’t stop running all game, and a huge well done to Agnes who struggled through with a cold to help the team out.
But, if we had to pick, the standouts were Ava for her first (and definitely not last) goal of the season, and Ebony, who was the player of the match for her tenacious tackling and never giving up on chasing the ball down.
