Buxton Young Buck's Whites Vs NMJFC u12's
League leaders Buxton Whites welcomed the Millers at the brilliant Tarmac- Silverlands Stadium.
With both teams wanting to prove a point, the game didn't disappoint anyone able to watch.
Buxton started the game very confident and pushed NMJFC on the back foot. The Millers defence stood strong and with help from the hard work in midfield, they started to press the Buxton Whites back.
Some neat play from Buxton ended with a penalty after the ref saw a foul in the box.
Dil did amazing saving the initial spot kick, but the Whites were quickest to react and slotted home the rebound.
Millers' management were looking for a response and we got one.
NMJFC were moving the ball around now, making intelligent runs and holding a great defensive line.
With all this slotting into place the Millers got their rewards after a great work from the boys, the ball fell to Bogdan who fired it home.
The second half was very even with both teams working some great opportunities to steal the win.
A great save from Dillan resulted in a corner for Buxton. With only a few minutes left the ball somehow ended up in the Miller's goal.
NMJFC pressed for the equaliser but unfortunately ran out of time.
Every spectator within the stadium praised both teams on a great football match and it was a great advert for the grassroots game.
Buxton management team praised the young Millers for giving them the hardest game of the season so far.
All the lads were superb but winning the J TAYLOR ELECTRICAL SOLUTIONS M.o.M was Ben - who never gave up - worked tirelessly for his team and was unlucky not to score himself.
The Millers have 2 more games before a thrilling semi-final draw against local rivals Chapel juniors.
