Match report NMJFC Under 7s - 7/11/21

Perfect weather for football this morning at Glossopdale as the Yellows were up against Chapel Town U7 Yellows.

The opposition (playing in blue) started the game at lightning pace, taking the Yellows by surprise. With their number 10 seeing a lot of the ball, the Yellows quickly saw their game plan and knew exactly how to get back in the game. Despite a slow start to the game, the Yellows had found their rhythm by half-time.

The Yellows are starting to understand the importance of positioning, marking and tracking and today was a great game to put this into practice - and this was evident in the second half. The game really opened up after the break and was another fantastic game to watch for both sets of supporters.

At the final whistle, another happy set of players, showing a great level of energy, determination and maturity, rewarded for their performance today with some outstanding individual goals from Charlie ⚽️ Ronan ⚽️ and Joshua ⚽️

Special mention to today’s captain Ronan who continued to use his skill, pace and wicked left foot to cause all sorts of trouble for the opposition today. As well as that, his reading of the game and knowing when to drop back to help his team mates is awesome.

Well done Yellows - you were brilliant today!
