Match report NMJFC Under 7s Falcons- 30 May 2021

A very warm and sunny morning at Glossopdale this morning for our game against Glossop NE Reds U7.

With a couple of the squad unavailable for today’s match, there was more game time for the players who lined up today, with most of them playing in new positions and having certain instructions for the first time.

A very even first half with both teams trying to get a hold of the game. Lots of passing football but equally lots of great tackling to make it a tense first period.

The game opened up in the second half and the opposition began to get control of the game. But the Falcons never gave up and kept going right until the final whistle.

Special mention to today’s captain Lucas who never stopped running. Playing in our midfield he appeared to cover every area of the pitch. He was involved in a lot of the Falcons attacking play and worked tirelessly to break up the opposition attacks.

A tough game today, against a very good, energetic Glossop NE Reds. But there was loads of positives to take away and build on next week. Well done Falcons!
