After playing SK Vipers just before Christmas, another exciting match was anticipated, and once again, both teams didn’t disappoint!
The Yellows got off the blocks quickly, and had them pinned back for most of the first half, but they were unlucky not to take a lead into half-time. A mix of woodwork and the Viper’s Goalkeeper keeping them at bay. Unfortunately, halfway through, the Yellows were caught out on the break and conceded the inevitable goal against the run of play.
Where the first half was exciting, the second half got even better. The goals went flying in on both sides, with Ronan scoring the standout goal of the half for the Yellows. The only thing that didn’t change was the Yellows luck; despite their efforts, the woodwork and goalkeeper continued to frustrate them and despite all of their hard work, and some great standout performances, the win evaded them.
Everyone had a fantastic game, and put in a real shift as they were reduced in numbers. A special mention to today’s Captain, (and birthday boy Joshua) had a fantastic match at the back and put in some crunching tackles. The development since we started all the way back in September is plain to see, and everyone’s hard work, great listening and enthusiasm is great to see…WELL DONE YELLOWS! COYY
