Match Report NMJFC Under 8s Girls Sat 11th Oct

Today’s game was played against Richmond Rovers and our 7 girls turned up ready to go from the off. Nina was back between the posts to start the game and did an amazing job at keeping Richmond at bay. Nora, Isla and Skye lined up as a back 3 with permission to push on when the ball was at there feet, Skye did a fantastic job at this on the left wining the ball and driving forward.

Nora on the right had definitely had her Weetabix this morning, she was none stop up and down the pitch putting in tackles at every opportunity. Isla was solid as ever in the middle winning the ball and getting it up over the half way line. 

Nancy started just in front of the 3 and was busy chasing after the opposition to get the ball in the middle of the park to help her team push on. Our two subs today came on and made an impact, Elle who played higher up the pitch putting a shift in and was excellent in closing down and making a nuisance of her self for the opposition. 

Emily came on at left back and got stuck in from the off defending the goal and stopping runs down the line to prevent a shot on goal by Richmond. 

Second half it was more of the same from our girls, Emily went in Goal and Nina came out into defence to show her talents on the ball. Girl of the game this week went to Elle for her all-around performance and effort 👏🎉⚽️🏆
