Match Report NMJFC Under 8s Hornets - 07/05/23

What a fantastic morning in Whaley Bridge for our first tournament of the Summer Season! The Hornets were in a tough group but as coaches, we thought they had every chance of progressing. They did that with some absolute class and although the boys were not too expansive, they found a way to box off every game and headed into the knock-out rounds with a real belief. Leo was leading the way and had his shooting boots on!

Every-single one of the boys were on their game and when the match dictated more skill, the lads had it in abundance. We went through the gears to ensure our place in the final was secured.

THE FINAL – We were up against Buxton Athletic, an unknown quantity as they don’t play in our league. Buxton Athletic were amazing and this was the toughest test, by far the lads had come across!

Luckily - The Hornets were absolute phenomenal and showed their superiority! I can honestly say, I can’t imagine feeling prouder of you all 💛🖤
