NMJFC U10 Blacks v Glossop NE Reds
Todays opponent for the U10s was the Glossopdale residents and a team we’ve done well against previously.
The game started brightly with an organised back line of Joe and Oliver who didn’t have much threat to deal with for the first 10 minutes. Liam provided a protective shield from a central defensive midfield position and was looking to provide the link as we transitioned from Defense into attack.
Harley and Kian occupied the wings - injecting their pace into things and looking to feed Archie who was our striker today.
Glossop found their rhythm after 10 minutes and The Millers struggled to remain focussed today.
Some changes saw Bobby come into play who worked really hard to keep pressure on the ball and execute some great interceptions.
Ella provided defensive cover along with Shea but we just couldn’t keep this Glossop team quiet.
James was our number 1 today and showed some real class in goal. Seeing some of the work he’s doing in training come into a match on a Sunday is fantastic to see and his goalkeeper training with coach Paul is really bringing him along and helping him to develop his skills.
James deservedly picked up our man of the match trophy today 🏆 well done to him 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Lots to work on in training - we’ll keep working hard and keep enjoying our game 💪🏼
