Ollersett pitch works 2024

We are really excited that the pitch renovations on Ollersett Playing Fields are taking place on Monday & Tuesday of next week - 120 tonnes of sand, 40 tonnes of root zone & plenty of seed - a huge amount of money being invested preserving both pitches for our players and the wider New Mills community.

Our contractors have asked PLEASE PLEASE keep off the pitches for the next 3 weeks. Ollersett isn’t officially closed but we would really appreciate dogs being kept off the surface, as their digging could destroy the hard work in creating these fantastic pitches.

We ask that the Sett Valley Trail that runs parallel to the pitches be used as an alternative exercise area.
