One of our own signs for Liverpool FC.

We couldn’t be prouder to share the news that ‘One Of Our Own’ has signed to play for Liverpool FC next season!! The newly crowned Premier League Champions have added Finley to their ranks and he will be playing for their U9 Academy team next season.

Finn joined New Mills Juniors as a 5 year old and spent his early days on The Rec in our U6 Development team, training every Saturday morning. Even back then he was a very good player but when we started in The High Peak Junior District League at Under 7’s, Finn’s pace & power had the beating of most of the oppositions players.

More impressively, he bought into our team ethos and rather then go alone, his super footwork and fantastic vision allowed his team-mates to get more involved and this became his true gift as the team progressed together. A true inspiration to his team-mates, Finn deserves this promotion as a reward for all his hardwork. Practice, Practice, Practice is our mantra and nobody personifies this more than him!

Today in Macclesfield, our U8’s footie season finished and we don’t know when we will see you in a Mini-Millers kit next but as a club, everyone at New Mills Juniors wishes you all the very best on your football journey. We will be following your progress closely and cheering you on every step of the way. As your coaches, it’s been our absolute pleasure to train you and a privilege to see how determined you are. Keep those qualities Finn and who knows where this dream of yours will end . . . . . . Hopefully at the very top!
