NMJFC Vs Wilmslow
An uncharacteristic display from the girls against an attacking Wilmslow side this morning.
As we did last time, we faced these opponents and we were slow to start, hung back and waited for them to come to us. Wilmslow were first to the ball most times and along with some scrabbling to get the ball through the New Mills side, made for some goals that left us frustrated.
Something we all need to work on to use that frustration to come back stronger, as I know we are capable of doing. Some really brave midfield play today, Brooke had some great runs down the wing, Freya L with some beautiful intercepting of the Wilmslow passing, and she was all over the field to try to win it back. 💪 Some positives to take from today were that they all worked hard to drop back and defend when needed and the trick shot between Freya L and Ava with an awarded free kick was great to watch! Again a better second half. Bella another great game for you with forcing the opposition to make mistakes and getting the ball away as we’d discussed pre-match. 👏🏻 Well done. Hard work for our lot today and as always, I’m proud of them all.
Star of our game today for me was Brooke, determined down that wing and kept your head. Well done. We learn and move onto our next match together.
