Match Report NMJFC  Stockport Metro League - Cup Game U11 Boys v Richmond Rovers Blue (27/4/24)

The coaches decided to give the boys an extra challenge this week by playing them all in different positions and take them out of there comfort zone. It took the boys awhile to settle but eventually they settled and started to play some attractive football.

Leyton bagged a goal playing upfront for the first time in the first half before pulling off some amazing saves in the second half giving our regular keeper Oli C a chance to play outfield in the second half.

New Mills continued to attack at pace in the second half and were rewarded with a second goal which came from a world class free kick from Eddie midway through the half.

Jimmy was amazing today, constantly moving from box to box, always available for a pass and making some excellent challenges to break up the opponents attacks. New Mills scoring was finished off with a fine strike from Harry P with a few minutes to go.

The ‘brainmat’ player of the match goes to Jimmy. Jimmy done everything asked of him today, a great performance. Well done Jimmy.
