Under 10s Boys v Didsbury Phoenix Maroons

The ‘brain mat’ sponsored Saturday team played Didsbury Phoenix Maroons this week.
The boys started fast against a competitive Didsbury teamwith both teams sharing some great attacking football.
Didsbury opened the scoring and were fast to add a 2nd minutes later. This didn’t stop the Mini Millers playing to their strengths with some great passing moves from defence to attack creating several chances. With numerous shots, hitting the crossbar twice and the post too, New Mills finally got the ball in the net to trail by a goal at half time.
Didsbury started the 2nd half best and added to their goal count. New Mills never gave up and showed great strength to battle back with goals of their own to level the scoreline very quickly. With both teams creating more chances, this was a very entertaining match for the spectators. New Mills coaches were very happy with the “never say die” attitude from all the players today.
Goals: Harry F; Tyler; Remo (2) and Bobby (2). The POTM was Eddie, who had a great game battling hard in defence while also getting forward to create chances for his teammates.
