Another really positive performance from the lads in just our second game together as a team, against a very good Glossop North End Community U23s side. 💛🖤
New Mills started brightly and created plenty of chances in the first half before eventually getting the breakthrough. A great ball in from Ruben Adrio was met by a bullet header from George Hall to put us 1–0 up. ⚽🔥
The hosts responded quickly to level the game at 1–1, which is how we went into half-time.
Glossop took the lead in the second half with a great defence-splitting ball that released their forward, who made no mistake with the finish to put the hosts 2–1 ahead.
But the lads kept going.
As the game moved towards the final stages, New Mills really started to apply the pressure. Jack Toft produced a lovely scooped ball over the top from the edge of the box, and Ruben Adrio was there to finish and grab a thoroughly deserved equaliser. ⚽👏
Full Time: 2–2.
More important minutes in the legs for everyone, a fantastic work rate throughout and, most importantly, some really good team spirit developing within this young squad.
Two games into our journey and plenty of positives to build on. 💪🏻
