An early start for the boys this morning and the boys were definitely up for the challenge. Starting fast, full of confidence from last weekend’s performance the Millers kept the ball well and passed the ball around with confidence all the match.
Oli C bossed his area; linking up well with defenders Eddie, Joseph, Leighton and Brodie, always available for a pass bqck if needed.
Midfielders Bobby, Jimmy and Harry P were their usual consistent selves in the middle, working with wingers Tyler, Remo, Lucas and striker Harry F to press forward at pace to create some great chances but unfortunately could not hit the back of the net in the first half.
The boys were told to keep doing what they were doing as they were playing some great football and more chances will come.
Not long after the restart the boys pressure was rewarded with a great finish from Remo. And like buses after waiting so long for one the goals came quickly for the Millers with Jimmy finishing from close range shortly after.
Remo got his second of the day running onto a lovely long through ball from Joseph, with Remo making no mistake and smashing the ball past the keeper.
The Miller’s were dominating possession now, keeping the ball, and frustrating the opponents which gave Remo his chance to get his hat-trick collecting the ball in midfield and using his pace to break free and finish low to the corner.
The player of the match was Eddie. Eddie was great in defence breaking up many dangerous attacks, and playing with confidence. Well done Eddie
