Match Report NMJFC U12s 07/12/24 - Stockport Metro - Mainoo League U12 Yellows Boys 3 v Richmond Rovers Blues 1

The Millers started fast on a cold windy morning in Woodley. Keeping the ball on the ground, moving the ball fast and keep moving was the recipe to keep warm the boys decided and they did that well.

Oli C bossed his area, and along with defenders Leighton, Brodie, Eddie and Joseph kept strong in defence limiting Richmond to minimal chances all game.

Bobby, Harry P and Jimmy dominated midfield spreading the ball to wingers Lucas, Remo, Oli F who constantly moved up and down the wings creating great chances for striker Harry F.

The boys were unlucky not to have three or four goals in 1st half but this changed when they upped the tempo after being denied a penalty early in the second half.

Remo who was unlucky not to have a brace in the 1st half made no mistake when hitting the top corner with a super shot from outside the box 10 minutes into the second half.

Harry P and Jimmy added a second and third for the millers with two similar perfectly controlled shots for the edge of the box.

The ‘brainmat’ man of the match was Leighton, Leighton was a rock in defence today. Well done Leighton.
