Our first league match had finally arrived at Glossopdale on Sunday morning & the excitement was clear to see !
Every member of the squad was available for selection and we were raring to get started.
We were up against our neighbours from Hayfield who we have watched a couple of times over the last few weeks due to playing friendly matches at the same venues.
It was a bit of a nervous start for The Blacks which is understandable after all the build-up to our debut match in the High Peak Junior Football League.
Once we settled, we showed a real maturity in our passing game and I was very proud to see all that training had paid off.
Kids football is all about enjoyment & fun but also learning & growing in character and there was plenty of evidence of this on show.
The Blacks competed well in all areas of the pitch and with the rolling squad rotation, we just lacked a bit of our usual rhythm.
Some fantastic performances across the team and a special mention to Oliver B & Stanley who both took a turn in goal.
Looking forward to this weekend against SK Vipers.
Onwards & upwards my little Millers.
