Match report NMJFC U7s - 26/11/22
A damp morning underfoot for our 11am kick off against The Heatons Yellow, at Brinnington. The rain held off and the team were in high spirits.
NM were fast out of the blocks with Stanley being the first to get his name on the scoreboard. A few more followed from him thanks to some good movements and passing in midfield from James and Paige.
The Heatons soon composed themselves and came back forcing some top defensive play from Charlie and saves from Teddy, our first half goalkeeper.
A quick change about brought on Ethan, who within a few minutes managed to find the back of the net. Well done Ethan on your first goal !
The Millers were chomping at the bit after the break and Paige replaced Teddy in net.
Teddy’s persistence in midfield was soon rewarded when he also bagged his first goal of the season. Well done Teddy!
A few more changes helped us to rest tired legs and a relentless Stanley topped up his goal tally and also went in net to stop some great shots from the Heatons.
Amazing to see how much this group of players have progressed in such a small space of time.
Well done Teddy, Stanley, Ethan, James, Paige, and Charlie, who all deserved player of the match today !
