Match Report - NMJFC U8 Falcons - Sunday 13th February

The Falcons were up against Whaley Bridge U8’s this morning at a wet and windy Glossopdale.

After a tough game last week, the Falcons were determined to get back into their rhythm and were on the front foot right from kick-off. Excellent pressing and showing great determination to win every tackle and every loose ball, saw the Falcons create a number of chances in the first period, with our goalkeeper Oscar having a quiet game at the other end.

In the second half the game opened up a bit more, with the Falcons having to do more defending, but the speed in which the Falcons counter attacked was outstanding again creating a number of chances throughout.

Goals today from Alfie ⚽️(an excellent direct free kick that flew into the top corner), Angus ⚽️ and Poppy ⚽️

Special mention to today’s captain, Alfie, who ran his socks off the whole game. In his role in midfield he provided excellent protection for the defence and was quickly on hand to support our attacking moves.

Arguably the best team performance of the season today where every single Falcon stepped up and delivered. Awesome - super proud of you all!
