NMJFC u10 v Spurley Hey Yellows
The Mini Millers in their smart sky blue away kit got back to playing some good football again this morning.
Excellent passing out from the back from Harry in goal then Darragh and Daniel fed Bobby Ollie and Bertie in midfield which created lots of opportunities to attack with Dan W working tirelessly for the team trying to regain the ball when needed.
The passing football created several chances which were only thwarted by excellent goalkeeping from the Spurley keeper who had an excellent match.
Ollie was causing problems down the left and crossed sharply only for an unlucky Spurley player to knock the ball into the empty net with Dan W waiting for a tap in. A second goal came with Ollie finishing of a super passing movement with a finish high into the net.
The second half was more of the same as Cole Freddie and Gregory kept the teams energy levels high and work rate even higher.
Greg winning the ball and driving the team forward with Cole working hard to find space and Freddie winning the ball quickly from the defenders.
A quick press from Fred on the right saw the ball recycled to the middle of the pitch where Ollie beat his man and finished calmly into the bottom corner for his second of the game.
More importantly the team defended the remainder of the half with energy and Harry marshalled his back line with authority right to the final whistle.
A strong display from all involved with excellent attitude, and quality football on show throughout.
