NMJFC u11 Dynamos vs Stalybridge
Having not played or trained for over a week, the Millers were today up against a Stalybridge side who we drew with earlier in the season.
This was another close one and on a different day the Millers could have scored lots more.
Stalybridge just edged the 1st half but the highlight of the half was Toby’s ⚽️ volley from a corner which the keeper couldn’t keep out of the net.
Second half and the Stalybridge goal was living a charmed life. Lewis hit the crossbar on a couple of occasions and Thomas & Ben also went close. Eventually the Millers grabbed a couple of deserved goals from Toby ⚽️ again and also a long range effort from Harris ⚽️. There was just enough time for the stalybridge keeper to make the save of the season to deny Toby a hat-trick.
The defensive players (Jake, Maxi, Luca, Oscar and James) all did well today against some good forwards and Jack again made some good saves in goal.
Special mention for both Cole and Dan who played from the u10s and both put in really strong performances.
MOTM went to Thomas for working hard in midfield with some good challenges and balls forward.
