Match report NMJFC Under 15s - 16 May 2021

After back to back losses in the cup group stage New Mills had to bounce back with a big win against UK Sports. The game started fast with a strong run from Connor into the box leading to a well worked goal from the boys from just 3 minutes. Not long after, UK Sports equalised with some poor defending by New Mills from a UK Sports throw in. UK Sports dominated proceedings for the next 20 minutes until a good free-kick from Connor went just past the top left corner. The second-half started and New Mills quickly began to dominate the half and flurry of amazing saves from the UK Sports goalkeeper kept them in the game. This was the story of the half until the 66th minute when Lucas directed the ball into the back of the net from close range. New Mills managed to keep hold of the lead until the final whistle. The game was a tale of two keepers came to an end with New Mills riding out 2-1 winners. MOM Baggy.
