New Mills Under 16s vs Juno United Lions
After a difficult game against Richmond Rovers last week, New Mills needed to bounce back with another win. The game started quickly with Juno having the better chances earlier on. But in the 18th minute Ethan slotted the ball home into the bottom right corner giving New Mills the lead.
After a couple of great chances and a brilliantly struck free kick, New Mills doubled there lead after a great run down the left wing from Jayden and the ball being cut across the face of goal for Ethan to slide the ball into the back of the net.
Five minutes later a free kick from the halfway line was crossed in for Connor to glance the ball into the back of the net. Half time saw The Millers go into the break 3-0 to the good.
Ten minutes after the restart, a good ball through the centre of the Juno defence saw Harvey slot the ball into the bottom left corner to make it 4-0 to The Millers. The rest of the half was an entertaining half with some great chances for both teams. But the final goal of the game didn’t come until the 78th minute with Harvey finishing off a great New Mills move from just two yards out. A brilliant team performance from New Mills saw them win 5-0 and continue there amazing start to the season.
