Match report NMJFC Under 7s - 7/11/21

An early start after ‘Fireworks Night’ had me worried. We were facing CHCS Lions for the first time so we had to be ready.

Incredible! We started like we had gun-powder in our boots and absolutely dominated the 1st half with a fantastic strike from Frankie⚽️ giving us an early lead.

This is the best I have seen our team – chasing every single ball, winning it back and then playing passes into the right areas so we can attack.

NM Blacks were unlucky not to be further ahead when Frankie’s free-kick surprised everyone and smashed into the frame of the goal.

CHCS Lions earnt a fortunate free-kick on the stroke of Half-Time and the rebound fell perfectly for them to draw even.

The 2nd Half was a much tighter affair and could have gone either way.

Albie’s sheer determination to win the ball back, combined with Jacob’s know-how about when to clear the ball is what kept us in this game.

Tremendous performance by a team that just keeps improving!
