The Falcons were raring to go this morning against Glossop NE U8 Reds.
The focus these last few weeks has been about trying to improve from the previous game - and the Falcons did exactly that today.
As ever, their start was excellent. Loads of energy, concentration and talking to each other. Quick to move the ball forward, the Falcons always looked dangerous in attack and they were rewarded with a fantastic angled drive from Poppy that smashed the back of the net ⚽️
The Falcons could have scored a few in the first half and continued to create chances in the second half, hitting the post in one of their best moves of the game.
Again it was another step in the right direction today and another great example of a team who put 100% into each game and come off the pitch at the end of each game, looking forward to the next one.
Special mention to today’s captain Henry who has really turned a corner this season. He has really embraced the role of defender. His tackling, positioning and reading of the game was excellent today as he continues to improve week on week.
