The U9’s were back at the power league in Stockport this week for what would be our local Derby, against Whaley Bridge Blues.

With a full squad to go at, James took the first half in goal.

New Mills started strong playing the ball out from Rhys and Pavak at the back, with Teddy as centre midfield, playing out to Jackson and Stanley on the wings, and Charlie J upfront.

A few minutes in Stanley got our first away with a nice ball in from Teddy, followed by a 2nd from a corner.

Dylan came on for Jackson and made some fast attacking moves on the right and Charlie T going into defence although at this point it was one way traffic with the boys pressing for more goals with Charlie J also getting a couple.

A change around at half way with Dylan taking the goalie gloves for the 2nd half and a rotation of players to keep fresh legs.

Whaley came out the stronger after the break and were punishing any errors we made.

Fortunately Stanley and Charlie J weren’t done yet and continued to add to there tally’s.

A game of 2 half’s today with some great pass and moves in the first half, and end to end attacks in the 2nd.

Player of the match was awarded to Stanley, who dominated and controlled the game, got plenty of goals and assists for his teammates too.
