On a rain soaked Sunday morning the Millers started this tough fixture brightly.
Oscar was alert to danger and using the ball well when distributing out from the back.
Zac and Rowan controlled the Hayfield attacks superbly and kept Hayfield chances to a minimum with some fantastic interceptions and timing of the their tackles.
In midfield Henry, Angus, Nathan and Sammie all worked tirelessly for the team when out of possession and tried to launch counter attacks as and when they could.
Nathan was driving the team forward at every opportunity supported by Henry and Angus. Sammie held the wide position well and was a good outlet for the team.
The second half carried on with the team showing the same endeavour and desire to compete all over the pitch. Lucas added energy into midfield and Robbie on the wing to try and maintain the momentum that the team had.
For the last 15 mins the Millers put Sammie up front as a focal point and tried to play through him to create chances to score. Lucas played Sammie in on the counter and Sammie almost finished off a great move from the Millers.
Players were moved around positionally as legs tired in the final stages and the team coped superbly with these changes.
A fantastic display from the whole team made it hard to pick player of the game, it was decided this award was to go to Rowan for his resolute and relentless protection of the Millers back line.
Special thanks to Gav for stepping to ensure we were coach compliant 👍
Well done Rowan 👊
