Match Report NMJFC U13s Girls vs Bluestar - 11/10/25

Dominant performance this week from the girls who ran out as comfortable 4-0 winners away at Bluestar.

There were two parts to today’s performance that pleased the coaches. Firstly, the defence were excellent and hardly gave the opposition forwards a chance all game. Not many clean sheets at this age and the whole team deserve praise for the defensive work. Neve, Evie, Esmee, Ella and Lucie all played well defensively and behind them Millie again played the sweeper keeper role perfectly.

The second pleasing thing was the football. The passing was great and it was good to see lots of build up play from the back, into midfield and then spreading the ball out wide for the wingers. Strong midfield performances today from Elsie Isla Florence and Lily H in midfield.

Out wide Brooke and Emily caused all sorts of problems for the Bluestar fullbacks and a number of excellent crosses could have resulted in more goals.

The first goal of the game went to Lily D who raced onto a good through ball and finished well into the corner.

Second goal went to our September player of the month Elsie who stuck an unstoppable free kick into the net.

Before half time Brooke made it three with a shot from the edge of the area into the corner.

A deserved second half goal came late in the game when Lily D used her pace again to stretch the defence and finished well into into the corner.

Numerous contenders for Player of the Game today including Elsie, Neve, Lily H and Isla but the award went to Brooke. Her skill on the wing resulted in assists and a superb goal 🏆
