Match report NMJFC under 10s girls - 29/04/23
vs Chapel
Great performance today from the girls vs local rivals, Chapel.
The game started with a tight first 5-10 minutes, with both teams evenly matched and looking dangerous. Soon after the girls started to play some good football and gradually dominated the half.
Some good play by Florence and an excellent pass by Emily presented Holly with a chance to score⚽️
Shortly after another goal came, this time Elsie ⚽️ finished well passed the keeper.
Next was the goal of the game, some great play by Holly on the wing and the ball ended up at the feet of Emily ⚽️ who scored from the edge of the penalty area.
The girls grabbed a well deserved break at half time but it was Chapel who started strong second half. Luckily the Millers had Millie in goal who was quick off her line to deny the Chapel forwards. The defensive duo of Isla and Erin were also good today and stopped many of Chapel counter attacks
Strong performances all round but a deserved player of the match trophy went to Holly 🏆 for a good battling display, an assist and a goal.
