Match report NMJFC Under 11s - 18/03/23
A minutes applause before the match to commemorate the wonderful NMJFC founder Mike Taylor who passed away recently after over 50 years of service to the club was observed superbly.
Then the teams got down to business in a thrilling end to end match.
Chances a plenty for both teams which saw the woodwork rattled on several occasions along with outstanding saves from both keepers and last ditch defending to prevent chances being converted.
The Mini Millers battled hard with Alex, Daniel and Darragh strong in their duels and confident on the ball to play when the chance presented itself.
Freddie, Indi, Bobby and Mayson worked hard in midfield to create good attacking positions for Harry up top to threaten the back line of the opposition.
Bert , Dan W and Gregory came on at half time to change the game for the Millers. The energy levels were maintained and the Millers continued to create several good chances to score.
Darragh shooting from distance saw his shot saved but Bert ⚽️ followed to maintain his goalscoring streak for the team.
On a day when the club was the emphasis and not just the team, this wonderful group continue to proudly represent our club with energy, enthusiasm and huge pride.
Daniel F was our player of the match for some outstanding defending including a superb clearance of the goal line.
Liam, Rick and Rob are very proud to be part of this teams footballing journey. ❤️
